The alumni database has been a work in progress so if you have contacted us recently with an updated address or other contact information we are working with our website provider to get your information into the database. If your contact info is incorrect on the database and we haven’t heard from you, please send us an email with your updated information. We will use the addresses contained in the database for future Crabs alumni mailings.

The database was created as a way to keep alumni in contact with each other by having a comprehensive up-to-date database of addresses and phone numbers of past players. A user name and password is required to access that information. If you are an alum and do not have the user name and password, please send us an email with your name, current address, and years played and we will get that information to you.


Crabs players and fans were treated to a great speech by former Crab and former major leaguer Dane Iorg on Friday June 6th at the Crabs Opening Dinner. The dinner kicked off the 2008 season and helped raise funds for a new backstop netting that will improve the visibility of the field for Crabs fans. We are already looking forward to next year's opening dinner so stay posted to the website for information about the 2009 Opening Dinner. 2009 will mark the 65th anniversary of the Crabs so be sure to make plans to attend a game or two next summer.


David Sharp, current Crabs board member and former Crabs player (’99 – ’02), is the Crabs Alumni Liaison and would love to hear from our alumni. In addition to keeping him up-to-date with your contact information, send an email to contact@humboldtcrabs.com and keep him informed of events in your life. Let him know of marriages, births, promotions, and anything of interest. As the information comes in he will put together a “Where are they now?” mailing to keep alums informed of what is going on with former teammates and other alums.

Sharp says, “Growing up in Humboldt County and attending Crabs Camps and Crabs games as a kid, I was privileged to have the opportunity to play for the team from 1999 – 2002. During that time and in years since, my appreciation has grown to amazement as I have learned more about the history of the Crabs and the many alumni who have worn the Crabs uniform and contributed to our rich tradition.
